Niagra Grocery

I have heard so much buzz about the Niagra Grocery that I couldn't help but stop by. I felt walking in like I had stepped back in time to an era before products were mass-marketed across the world... there were so many local products I can't even name them all! So excited to go back and get more little things over time.

The service made me nostalgic for my corner store grocery clerk days... manual weighing machine, clunky till, clearly favourite regular customers who you can put their order on the counter before they are fully across the threshold. Oh dear, I'm getting something in my eye...

Buy a deck of Taste Locally deals & get 2 for 1 coffe beans on regular priced 1/2 pound bags and 2 for 1 espresso drinks of equal or lesser value at Niagara Grocery!

Grocery Trip Results - YUM!

Our grocery trip resulted in the purchase of:
  • Coffee (roasted on site under their own brand "Mile 0")
  • Mushrooms
  • Local (?) greens at a very reasonable $3.20
  • Hot Chick Spice Company Orange Chipotle Mustard
  • "House Made" brand coffee bitters
  • Slaters chicken legs (less than $6 for two)
  • Portofino buns
Just tried some of the coffee and the roast was very dark. The mustard smells Fantastic and will go under the skin of the chicken legs in the oven tonight. Also excited to try the bitters...
